Nathan is the founder, owner and principal of Rock Solid Granite & Marble Inc. It’s a small family business in Tampa. He receives most of his business through word-of-mouth referrals. Nathan has permanently lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 39 years and was originally from Connecticut. His work experience started in Connecticut. Rock Solid Granite & Marble Inc. was established on October 1, 2014, in Florida.

Nathan is hard-working and dedicated to ensuring your complete satisfaction. Doing business with Nathan is incredibly easy. He has over 25 years of experience in the Engineered and Natural Stone Industry. He has held almost every position in the stone industry, turning stone into countertops. Nathan possesses an impressive array of hands-on skills that cover every aspect of the industry.

He also serves many customers who live in gated and deed-restricted communities, and Nathan is familiar with their rules and regulations.

Nathan also serves commercial customers, ranging from small countertop projects to large public installations. Countertop jobs are tailored to individual businesses, from simple counters to long countertops for bars that seat 25 people, as well as to customers with large kitchens for restaurants, hotels, hospitals, colleges, high schools, elementary schools, corporate buildings, and other establishments.

Essentially, Nathan is a stone countertop aficionado with the expertise, skills, and experience to handle the entire job as your advocate, ensuring the job is done according to your specific requirements. 

Nathan works directly for you and is not an employee of the countertop fabrication facility, manufacturer of any product or the countertop installation service. Nathan’s job is to look out for you and represent you to ensure the complete countertop job is done to your specifications. Nathan has  over 25 years of experience in the Engineered and Natural Stone Industry. He has crafted countertops from a variety of materials, including granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, calacite, dolomite, agate, onyx, and soapstone. He can tell you about the benefits and drawbacks of each type of stone. He has extensive knowledge about both Engineered and Natural Stone, as well as the process to make a countertop. Nathan is the man with all the answers to your questions and will explain the detail if you want.

During his in-home Free Design Session and Quote, he will educate you about the types of stones, prices, care required and which is the best for you based on your lifestyle and needs. Nathan has an easy-going style of communicating and is warm and friendly.  

Sitting down with Nathan in a normal, friendly conversation and listening to him explain the technical details about the different stone and countertop features is impressive. He makes it easy to understand and allows you to make sound decisions about your countertop. Nathan will provide instant suggestions and recommendations without hesitation. His extensive knowledge has been developed over decades of experience.

Nathan started his career in the Engineered and Natural Stone Industry in 2000. and worked as a subcontractor for kitchen and bathroom remodeling companies. He developed his skill by working with some of the best artisans in the business.

In 2004, Nathan started as an installer at a large international company. He worked his way up from various fabrication jobs to become an operations manager. While working for this company, Nathan formed Rock Solid Granite & Marble to provide one-on-one concierge service to a market niche for premium countertops that was under-served.

In 2015, he became a partner of the large international company that had a three-shift operation at the time. In 2018, he left the company and worked as a sales manager for another natural stone company. In 2022, Nathan returned to the large international company to address the declining sales issue and successfully turned it around by increasing value and improving customer satisfaction.

In 2023, Nathan decided to leave his corporate job in favor of a simpler life and work full-time at Rock Solid Granite & Marble, thus reducing his workweek from 70+ hours to 40 hours. Nathan is much happier and is no longer chasing higher sales and a stressful position. He is working on what he loves to do. Nathan has the authority to focus on doing what’s right for his customers and creating the best countertops as art-form in Tampa Bay.
